Growing up, Veronica's mother required her and her older sister to take sewing lessons. She took her first formal sewing lesson at the age of ten, at a local fabric store.
After high school Veronica attended Ray Vogue School and studied fashion design. Actually is wasn’t something that she decided to do on her own. Her mom helped her finger that out. "You never sew anything the way the pattern shows it! Have you ever thought of being a Fashion Designer?” Veronica won first place for my Evening wear design in the schools competition. After she left school she worked as a Pattern Grader. First for a mass production dress company. Then for a designer who specialized in high end separates.
Veronica began working for a major fabric store while still working from home in the late eighties as a sales person. Some time later she was asked to put together an accessory demo along with a few other employees, which was very successful. As time went on she realized that she enjoyed teaching others about the sewing process. She was then asked to turn my demos into classes.
Sewing is still her passion. Sewing is not only a skill, it’s an Art. Art can heal… if you’re willing. Go on the sewing journey with Veronica.
